No, but it helps. Without one you can try a single career on your device. A free account gives you unlimited saves on your device plus cloud saves that follow you between devices.

You keep Pro until the end of the period you already paid for, then move to the free plan. Nothing is deleted: saves on your device are unlimited on every plan, and cloud saves above the free limit stay in the cloud, you just cannot add new ones until you are back under it. Cancel any time from your account page.

Yes, for free. Every match can be watched live in 3D or simmed instantly from the top bar. Either way the result counts for your career.

With Sandbox Pro. In MyPlayer each match offers Play in 3D or Watch match; playing puts you in control of your own player while the AI runs everyone else, in every game type. The Simulator also has Play in 3D for one-off matches that do not touch a career.

Yes, from Play online on the home screen. One person hosts a lobby and others join with its code, an invite link or the public list. Play a quick match of any size or two clubs from a world, and let the AI fill empty spots if you like. Anyone signed in can host, join and watch; taking control of a player needs Sandbox Pro. Online matches never change a career.

As many as you like on your device once you are signed in. On top of that, 2 careers can sync to the cloud on a free account, or 10 with Sandbox Pro.

A cloud save is backed up to your account and opens on any device you sign in on, including the desktop app. A device save lives only in that browser or app. You choose when you start a career; cloud is picked by default while you have a free slot.

If it was a cloud save, sign in on any device and it is still there. A device save is stored by your browser, so clearing site data or switching browsers loses it. Keep the careers you care about in your cloud slots.

Yes, for Mac (Apple silicon and Intel), Windows and Linux, free on every plan. It is the same game with the same account and cloud saves. Get it from the Downloads page.
