Release notes

Every version of Sandbox Simulator, newest first. Open a release to read it in full.

Sandbox Simulator ships in numbered releases rather than a stream of silent updates. A major version means the simulation itself changed: how players grow, how a match is scored, how clubs bid, how a world is built. A point release is a batch of smaller changes and fixes on top of the current major. Every release is dated, and the notes for it never change after the day it goes out, so a save started under 3.2 can be read against exactly what 3.2 did.

Each entry is sorted into three kinds. A feature is something that did not exist before. A change is something that existed and now behaves differently, which is the kind worth reading before you continue a long career, because the numbers in it may move. A fix is a defect closed. The counts on each card are those three tallies, and the line under a version is the first thing that release says about itself.

The web build updates on its own the next time you load the site. The desktop app downloads a release in the background and applies it on restart, and the version it is running is shown on the Download page. Cloud saves are readable by any version at or above the one that wrote them.

Release 3.7

Every face in the game is drawn by us. Players grow by playing, potential is a scouted projection that moves, reset week is a training camp, every rival club has a front office you can read, matches have a chat room and broadcast graphics, and a world author can write the names, the faces, the personalities and the tier titles.

Every generated player now has a portrait from our own engine instead of a third-party library.
