Buyouts#

A signed player no longer fields offers from rival clubs. They bid to your club, and your club decides.

  • CHANGEWhile you are under contract, rival clubs bid to your club for you during the transfer window. Your club takes the fee or keeps you, and you hear about the bid either way.
  • CHANGEA club prices you by the role you play for it. Franchise players are almost never sold, starters only go to the keenest bids, and bench players go to any serious one. A player in his final year is cheap.
  • NEWWhen your club accepts a fee, the buying club sends its personal terms. Sign and you move, with the fee on your career timeline, or turn them down and stay.
  • FIXWinning a Major or the Championship no longer sends rival contract offers straight to you, or a fresh raise from your own club after every title. Your price rises at your walk-year extension and in free agency, and never past what the league pays your rating.
  • FIXRival offers no longer reach you in the first weeks of a new season while you are under contract.

Squad roles#

Every offer and every contract names the role you are signing into, read from where you would rank at that club.

  • NEWOffers, the negotiation table and your deal on My Team show your role: Franchise player, Starter, Rotation or Bench.
  • NEWA franchise or starting role is a promise. Two weeks out of the lineup and your club has broken it: push for a move without losing your agent's trust, ask for a loan, or fight for your spot. A club that broke its promise sells you for less.
