A new kind of world
- NEWBattle royale joins arcade, tactical and hero as a world type you can pick when you create a world. It is the first one that is not two teams playing a series: twenty squads drop on the same island, and you are scored on where you finish and what you killed.
- NEWTwo shipped worlds to start from. Dropzone Circuit is a manager career with twenty pro squads; Dropzone: Pro Circuit is a player career that starts you in the open circuit and lets you climb into the pro lobby.
- NEWSquads are trios or quads, and you choose. Every world sets its own squad size, lobby size, how many games make a match day, what each finishing position is worth, and what a kill is worth.
- NEWFour roles built for the format: an IGL who calls rotations, a Fragger who wins the fights you take, an Entry who opens contested drops, and a Support who keeps the squad alive into late circles.
How a season plays
- NEWA competitive week is a match day: your whole circuit plays six games in one lobby and banks the points. Two splits, each capped by a split final, then the world championship.
- NEWThe championship runs on match point. Once a squad passes the threshold they still have to WIN a game to take the trophy, so the finals genuinely do not know when they will end.
- NEWLeague tables read in the terms the format actually uses: points, game wins, average placement and kills. No win-loss record, because nobody beats anybody.
- NEWA results board built for a match day. See the running table, then click into any single game to see exactly what it did — sixty points from steady placement and sixty from one win are very different weeks.
Watching it happen
- NEWPlay Live works for battle royale. Watch all twenty squads drop, fight over landing spots, rotate ahead of the circle, and get forced together at the end.
- NEWThe zone is drawn as two rings — where it is now and where it is closing to — because working out whether your squad will make it is the whole middle of a game.
- NEWLive squad counter, killfeed, and your own squad highlighted throughout, so you always know whether you are still in it.
Building your own island
- NEWThe map editor has a battle royale section. An island is authored as named drop locations plus an optional flight path — the closing circle is worked out from the map itself, so you never draw a single ring.
- NEWIslands need no team spawns, because nobody spawns in a battle royale. The editor tells you if you have placed too few drop locations for a full lobby.
