New in Sandbox Pro
- Commissioner mode (beta): run a whole league from its office
- Quadball worlds, careers and live matches, flown or on foot
Commissioner mode#
A new way to play. Instead of one club you run the league above all of them. Every club is run by its own AI front office, and you answer to the owners, the players and the fans.
ProCommissioner mode is in beta and part of Sandbox Pro. Anyone can look through the leagues on offer before taking office.Get Pro
- NEW ProTake office in any manager world and pick how you want to run it. The full job: rule changes go to an owners vote, you get three goals a term, and lose the owners and you lose the job. A sandbox office: the whole job with none of the pressure. Or watch it unfold: no cases, the seasons play on their own, and you change the league whenever you like.
- NEW ProEvery league you inherit comes in a different state. It might be a clean slate, or still reeling from a scandal, broke with the TV deal running out, a locker room close to striking, or one superclub whose owner has tripled its budget.
- NEW ProCases reach your desk from what really happens in the league: clubs in trouble, player conduct, relocations, club sales and more. Every ruling moves how the owners, players and fans feel about you, and staying consistent builds your credibility.
- NEW ProReal discipline. Minor and serious offences are ruled on at once, with longer bans for repeat offenders. Betting, match fixing and doping allegations can go to the police, to your own investigation, or straight to a ban, up to a lifetime ban that keeps a player out of the Hall of Fame. You can also audit any club once a season.
- NEW ProChange any league rule to any value. Put it to the owners at their meeting each off-season, where every owner votes by what it means for their own club, or call an emergency session if it cannot wait.
- NEW ProRun the money. Haggle with sponsors over price, length and naming rights, pitch the league to new brands, and open a TV renewal to a bidding war between networks. Spend the treasury on programmes, loans to struggling clubs and a share of the revenue for the clubs.
- NEW ProClubs on the market take bids from different kinds of buyers, each with their own plans for the club, and you pick the new owners. Ownership groups can bid to bring a brand new club into the league from another world.
- NEW ProBook league events: an All-Star Game, a rivalry week, a showcase game in a city with no club, a community week and an awards gala. Induct a Hall of Fame class every season, and follow the draft in the Draft Room.
- NEW ProSim any game this week, sim the whole week, or watch a game live in 3D. Tournaments play on the same event page as every other career, and quiet weeks pass in one press.
- NEW ProEvery season gets a report card, and each term ends with a renewal vote. Lose it and you see the vote play out, get a legacy grade, and are offered another league.
- NEWA first season guide walks you through taking office, and the Coming up list on your desk shows what is on its way.
Quadball#
A new sport in the sports game type, with its own rules, positions, stats, awards and trophies, in Manager and MyPlayer.
ProQuadball is a Sandbox Pro sport, like the other sports. Anyone can browse its worlds, teams and players.Get Pro
- NEW ProFirst to 150 wins the moment they get there. A goal through any of the three rings is worth 10, and a flag catch is worth 30 and does not end the match, so a catch at 140 finishes it at 170.
- NEW ProSeven a side: a keeper, three chasers, two beaters and a seeker. Beaters knock players out of the play with bludgers and earn assists by clearing defenders. Chasers score, pass and steal. Seekers duel for the flag, which goes up ten minutes in and comes back after every catch.
- NEW ProFlying or on the ground. Pick it when you create a world, or switch it any time in the world's rulebook. In the air it is a 200 by 90 metre flying oval with the hoops on tall poles; on the ground a 100 by 60 metre pitch.
- NEW ProWatch any match live in 3D: riders on brooms, the quaffle, two bludgers and the gold flag, with a scorebug that shows the race to 150. Playing a quadball match yourself is not available yet.
- NEW ProPlayers are rated on Shooting, Defense, Dexterity, Speed, Handling and Passing. Box scores track goals, assists, saves, bludger hits, steals, flag catches and the cinco-cinco (five goals and five assists in a match).
- NEW ProTwo new worlds: the Quadball League, with twelve clubs, a mid-season League Cup and a championship playoff, and Quadball League: Tryouts for MyPlayer, starting at a development club.
- NEW ProSix game plans, five touchline calls (fast break, hold the quaffle, beater press, protect the seeker, seeker all in), a quadball coaching staff, season awards and a shelf of quadball trophies.
Tournaments and match rules#
More real world formats can be built in the world editor.
- NEWA group stage into double elimination for the season championship and custom events. Choose how many groups, how many teams in each, how many go through, how long group matches are, and how the playoff is seeded, then the top teams fill a double elimination bracket.
- NEWSearch and Destroy overtime can be limited. Set how many overtime rounds a map can play, and if nobody has the winning margin by then, the team in front takes it, so first to 7 with three overtime rounds can end 8-7. Unlimited overtime stays the default.
- FIXStarting a new career no longer leaves some teams out of a tournament field, and places 3rd to 8th get the right prize money in events that open with a group or Swiss stage.
Save editor#
Change the maps a Manager save plays on without touching the world it came from.
- NEWA new Maps section in the save editor. Add maps from your library (3D maps included), the community, an image or just a name, and remove the ones you do not want. Only that save changes; every other save on the same world keeps its maps.
- NEWRename any map in the save editor or the world editor. A renamed map keeps its layout and still plays live.
- FIXA blank template saved from the save editor stays in the world you loaded it from instead of becoming a Call of Duty League save.
- FIXBig custom worlds with lots of teams and players can be published to the community instead of failing with "Invalid moderation request".
- FIXManage Contract on your own player's page takes you straight to their extension talks. Outside a player's final contract year it says why it cannot open yet.
- FIXMap pictures you add to a world show everywhere maps appear: the map veto, map by map, the Simulator, online lobbies, the world editor and the community pages. A broken link falls back to the map's own picture instead of a blank card.
- FIXUploading a picture for a map in the world editor adds it to that map instead of creating a new map named after the file.
- FIXA lineup that stays together keeps its time together chemistry into the next season instead of starting again from zero after re-signing.
- FIXScrims always build chemistry, so the best team in the league can bank it too, and Team Practice counts when it is the second block of a split week in MyPlayer.
- FIXIn live Hardpoint matches, teams with more than four players put everyone on the map instead of leaving players five and up dead.
