Release 3.6.1
Your club has a social media presence that reacts to what you actually do, content creators you sign and grow, a live chat room in every match, silverware that looks different in every kind of world, and a proper career timeline on every player.
24 notes across 5 sections
Content creators
- NEWCreators are people with channels now, not a line item. Each one has subscribers, a style, a mood, and a channel that grows or shrinks depending on how well the club is doing and what you have them making. What they pull in follows from how big their channel actually is.
- NEWThe Studio is where you run it: who is on the books, what they are making this cycle, and an open market to sign from. The market is retired pros from your world, creators the world author wrote in, and a scene that exists on its own and keeps growing whether you sign it or not. A small channel can climb into the millions over a long save, and new faces turn up through the season.
- NEWUnsigned creators talk about your league on the feed. If someone in the market has been building a following off your rivals, you will read about it before you decide whether to pay for them.
- NEWWorld authors can write their own creators: a name, a face, a follower count and a style. They show up in the market of any career played in that world, alongside the retired players and the generated scene.
Live chat in matches
- NEWEvery match you watch has a chat running beside it. If your club is playing, its supporters are the room and the other side is the away section; a match between two other clubs is split down the middle between both fanbases.
- CHANGEThe room reads the game properly rather than shouting at every point. Where the score ticks over constantly it reacts to lead changes, runs and milestones; where a score means something on its own, like a round or a goal, every one of them gets a reaction, sized by how close the game is.
- NEWCreators who co-stream your matches bring their subscribers with them, and a club with hype behind it draws a bigger room. Your peak viewers and what the broadcast did are reported back to the club afterwards, on the Live section.
Trophies
- NEWThe trophy library is roughly three times the size. Cups with ears, waves, shards, towers, globes, shields, lanterns, hourglasses, bells, fountains, phoenixes, laurel cups, balls and more, each with its own set of variations, so two events in the same world are far less likely to look like each other.
- CHANGESilverware now looks like the sport it belongs to. Arcade worlds hand out hard cut smoked crystal with gold ribs on black tiers, tactical worlds cast matte metal on dark rock, hero worlds are polished and ornate, battle royale is rugged and scorched, car ball is mirror chrome, and a football or basketball world gets classic polished silverware. The same shape is built differently depending on where you won it, and each type draws from its own shelf of shapes.
- CHANGEIndividual awards are cast from the same shelf as the trophies, only smaller and on a footing, so a world's honours look like that world's silverware instead of a separate, cheaper family.
- FIXA competition hands out a new trophy every season. Winning the same title five times used to put five copies of one cup on your shelf; each of those wins is now its own piece, and the season it was won in is stamped through everywhere the trophy is drawn.
- NEWYou can zoom in the trophy showcase. Scroll or pinch to move in on the engraving and the metal, buttons if you would rather, and it still spins and settles where you leave it.
A player's career, written down
- NEWEvery player profile carries his journey. Where he is right now reads like a broadcast graphic, in his club's colours, with the deal in front of you and one line on how he got there, and under it every earlier spell at every club as its own chapter: how he arrived, every renewal while he was there, how it ended and how long it ran. Free agency is a chapter too, and so is retirement.
- FIXReleasing a player writes it down. Dropping someone and re-signing him weeks later used to read as one unbroken spell whose terms mysteriously changed, because the release was never recorded anywhere. Every drop, wherever you make it from, now ends the spell properly, starts his free agency, and shows up on the timeline.
- FIXOpening rosters and retirements are on the rail as well, so a career that started at the first week of the save reads from its beginning, and a player who retired ends there rather than simply stopping.
